Tipi

The tent design is based on the famous model of Red Indians from the Dakota tribes (Sioux) and Cheyenne group. The word Tipi means shelter. With the possibility of making a fi re in the tent, the Tipi was a suitable shelter for the Indians in summer and in winter. The height of the tent and the adjustable smoke and air fl aps guarantee good smoke exhaust. A waist-high inner wall, the lining, offers additional protection against cold and draught from the ground and reinforces the chimney effect for good smoke exhaust. The cut also considers the basic features of an Indian tent: The back side is steeper than the front, optimum space utilisation, stability and visual effect.
